On Country Bans

With bans against gambling being implemented in Malaysia, it is a wonder that a lot of gambling still offers bets for Malaysians. GameCraft has always been trying to stop gambling sites from operating there, but the sites don’t want to listen. Thus, numerous busts have already been done for months, and yet there seems to be a rapid growth on the sites even after the bans and busts happening.

Lucky for the sites that offer online gambling to Malaysians, their partners (such as Internet cafés) have found a way to rig their computers to allow these blocked sites, but the Malaysian police force is also ready to find these internet cafés. Although offering gambling to people from countries that ban online gambling entails a lot of profit, the long-term problems that will be faced by busted companies might not be worth that profit; this is applicable to both the café and the website owners.

Just recently, a bust led to the arrest of 17 people including the workers. What’s more, cash, computers, and other equipment had also been confiscated by the police. With charges being filed against the offenders, it is easy to see that breaking the law can lead to harsh consequences even when you only wanted to have some fun.

And what about the bans in the United States where even the IP addresses of players are being checked? Somehow, there are still those sites that can get away with allowing U.S. players to bet, but the tricks might be done by the gamblers who know how to mask their IPs.

Naked Favors

Casinos have this reputation of offering outrageous promotions to attract bettors. Just recently, one such promotion involves naked options. This is a profitable marketing strategy as the porn industry is always gaining high profits. This is not to say that real porn is involved here—only that naked incentives are being offered to those who sign up with the gambling site Roulette69.com.

Players are given the option to choose the ladies, advertised as sexy casino hosts, who will do the strip tease; these are real casino ladies. Favors can be given to lucky players including the ability to tease (or be teased) and chat with the lady of choice. The main goal is, of course, to win the casino games as the girls do strip tease, but players are trooping to this new hot casino for both the ladies and the games.

The site is credible as it is powered by Orbis bet and operated by E-Tainment. Orbis is a respected name in online gambling, and even though E-Tainment is not yet known as a company managing online casinos, there is little doubt that the website is being run by pros. Only those over 18 years old may visit the site, but how age is verified here is not clear.

Casinos have been in business for years; naturally, they want to evolve so that they can reach out to a greater market, but the line between what is appropriate and not is sometimes very easy to cross.

Just when we thought that the fight for the legalization for online gambling is coming to a close, we realize that it’s actually far from over. While there have been lobbyists to make online gambling legal to help save the financial services industry, there are continuous blows to it. One of the biggest is the approval of the 2006 Unlawful Internet Gambling Enforcement Act. This was given a final ruling by the Treasury Department.

The Impact of Gambling Ban

Though there isn’t a clear definition for unlawful online gambling, it will still affect U.S. players in a lot of ways. For those who are banning them may also finalize their decision to restrict players from the United States into any of their rooms. They cannot even register. On the other hand, for online gambling sites that permit U.S. players may eventually decide to limit the types of games that they can play. Worse, they may actually have to remove them, in the hopes that the government will not run after them.

The U.S. players who try to deceive these online gambling sites and may have found a way to join them will have to suffer consequences, such as a felony case, which may be punishable by imprisonment and a huge fine.

The ban will also encourage online gamblers to set their eyes into something else, such as NFL fantasy games, which are spared from the online gambling ban for the reason that they are actually tests of skills, not chance. What’s more, NFL operators and manufacturers can definitely look forward to more revenues and player growth within the next few years.

The strict regulations will also hurt the financial services industry, which may actually earn from the online transactions of online gamblers.

Why It Came to Be

Picture this: an online gambling addict will probably spend thousands of dollars in a month. He pays through online payment sites such as MoneyBookers, Egold, and a lot more. He can also pay through his credit card. Regardless of his mode of payment, though, one thing is for sure: it’s going to be a lot of money.

The United States, on the other hand, have been apprehensive of a huge chunk of money that has been going in and out of the country. It could mean that these may be funds for terrorist activities or for other illegal transactions. It could mean that someone may be stealing somebody else’s money. Simply put, it could be a possible case of money laundering. To make sure that these scenarios will not come to fruition, the act is born. It will restrict U.S. players by preventing them from paying online.

Conservatives will definitely applaud of the bill, simply because they believe it will save the morale of their youth. Though 18 years old is the minimum age requirement for online gamblers, there is no way for them to verify the authenticity of this information. Thus, as young as 16 years old can already get their hands on the table and card games.

It’s final. A lot of Americans can no longer play online casinos if they don’t want to be charged by felony or pay large fines. This is after the Treasury Department has approved of the act, which took 2 years to put in place. Today, banks will only have few weeks before they can implement the new rule, which will prohibit American online casino players from paying online.

However, there are certain states that don’t want to be bothered by the new rules but rather look for ways on how to compromise. For one, Colorado is trying to determine the best possible options when it comes to online gambling. In a recent election that happened there, majority of the voters went for Amendment 50. This then gives three of the Colorado towns the opportunity to choose on how they want to go for their gambling options.

The towns of Central City, Cripple Creek, and Black Hawk are the three towns that were fortunate enough to be given such a choice. They are currently organizing an election where they have to decide whether they are going to extend the online casino hours to 24 hours. They can also choose to add games or raise the limits for betting. So far, though, only one has given a definite schedule for this year. Before the New Year begins, Cripple Creek will already have their election. Townsfolk will proceed to the voting polls on December 16. Black Hawk, on the other hand, will have their election on January 13, while Central City still needs to come up with one, but it would probably be between February and March.

The Common Issues among Online Gamblers

There are some states that are given the opportunity to play in online casinos. However, there are two prevailing issues that these Colorado towns are trying to address. First is the betting limit. A lot of online casino players would definitely go for those with lower limits since it will give them the chance to play a lot more games with their limited budget. The possible downside is that the stake may not also be that high.

There are also others who would love to spend most of their time in online casinos, and yet there seems to be a time frame as to how long they can still online. Most probably, online casino players would love to extend their playing time so they will have more chances of winning or recovering whatever they have lost in certain games.

Florida Director Thinks Poker Is Legal

Somewhere down in Florida, a basketball player is under the hot seat, after he admitted that he did not only play poker online, but he also lost a lot of money in the process. Nevertheless, he didn’t see anything wrong with what he did. Fortunately, he’s getting the same opinion from his head coach and even athletic director.

They saw no wrong with any of their players going for online casinos, and they hope that the media will not blow the story out of proportion.

Online gambling just keeps getting more competitive, as more new sites are being launched almost every month. Now, one more is on the list, and it’s sure going to give its predecessors a good run for their money.

The site we are talking about is called Grand Mondial. It is a very new site, which was launched in July 2006 and was known then as Grand Monaco. The software was created by the best, Microgaming.

Unlike other online casinos, which can only give you between 80 and a little over a hundred of choices, Grand Mondial lives up to its name. You will realize that there are not only a hundred but 300 of them. Surely, it will keep you busy the entire time. They are basically composed of the usual table and card games. You can also find arcade and video games. There are also live deals, where you can interact with a real person, who will serve as the dealer during the game. Of course, you have better chances of earning huge when you play the progressive jackpots, and in here, Grand Mondial doesn’t disappoint.

This online casino is also known for their excellent support system, which is composed of live chat, e-mail, and toll-free numbers. There are experienced and courteous customer care staff who can entertain your questions and issues 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. The website also makes use of SSL technology, to ensure that all vital and confidential information, such as a player’s customer credit card number, will never be intercepted or deciphered by hackers. It has also implemented a rigid payment and withdrawal system so no scammers will be able to transact their business here.

The real beauty of the website—and the one drawing in the crowd—however, is its bonuses. If you have been reading a lot of reviews of other online casinos, or, better yet, played with them, you will actually discover that a number of them can only give as high as 100 percent deposit bonus. This means that if you’re going to deposit $50, your initial bonus will be $100. You will also have to meet the wagering requirements before you can credit the amount into your account.

Grand Mondial, on the other hand, offers a larger bonus to their players. For one, there’s the triple bonus, where it’s not only your first but up to the third deposit bonus that will be greatly rewarded. You will also be entitled to free spins if you’re going to play the Big Kahuna Snakes and Ladders. Each spin costs $10, so you’re off to $100 savings.

One of the most successful and even respected online gambling sites today is Bodog. It is not only known for its hundreds of games, great interface, huge payouts, and excellent bonuses, it’s also known for adapting the newest innovation in the field of gambling.

Right now is not an exception. For those who are fanatics of Bodog or plain curious about it, you don’t need to sit in front of your computer or laptop just to access the website. All you need is a handy mobile phone (iPhone if you want it).

How to Play the Games

There is really not much difference between playing the games when you’re using a software installed into your PC or when you’re holding your mobile phone. With the latter, you simply have to look for a signal that will allow you to connect to the Internet. Moreover, you need to download the application, but this is really something that you don’t have to worry about. The software is tweaked to become more compatible with a lot of mobile phones. What’s more, you can even get to install it in your PDA or blackberry.

Play Real

Because it’s practically young, there are a number of limitations. For one, it may be very difficult, if not impossible, for you to play in live games, unless, of course, the live technology they are adapting can be reconfigured to fit a small screen. It may also have no multiplayer functions. There is also limited number of games that you can play in your mobile phone. These include blackjack, 2 slot games, and 2 video poker games. Thus, your chances of winning or earning bonuses are slimmer. Nevertheless, you can look forward to making bets and winning the stakes. You are also assured that whatever you earn during the games will be credited right into your account.

Just to make sure that it’s going to be a very pleasant experience, you may want to choose a phone that has superb screen resolution, so the images or graphics will still appear very crisp. You can also have your music turned on just to complete your so-called virtual hall. Most of all, you have to make sure that you can still put your cellular phone to good use by not getting too addicted with Bodog Mobile. That’s how a responsible player should be.

With Bodog Mobile, you can bring social entertainment right into your own pocket.

Internet has made it very easy for amateurs to learn the game of Poker amidst experts without being embarrassed. However, this has attracted many newbies to try out their luck in the game but many of them are quite skeptical about staking their money initially until they are well-acquainted with the game. Hence, many online poker rooms offer free poker money to first-time poker players.

Free poker money – Bonus for novices

Novices are only required to sign-in and make their account at the website and soon free poker money is debited to their account within a day or two. They also need not pay any deposit to get this free money. However, the amount of free money that is offered is different for all poker sites. This free bankroll allows the player to win real money without any deposit.

Hence, there is also no risk involved in the no deposit poker bonuses that is provided to players at poker rooms. It would be a good idea to understand the strategies and rules of the poker game before you start playing with this free money. This would ensure that you earn money without shelling anything from your pocket.

Furthermore, offers for risk free poker game is restricted to residents from certain countries at different poker sites. For instance, CDPoker does not accept American players and the offer from UltimateBet is open to US residents.

Reasons that fail to get you free poker money

Also, at times it is quite possible that you fail to get the bonus after you have signed in with these websites. There are primary three reasons for this failure:

Some users try to sign in into the same poker room pretending to be a newbie in order to get more bonus money. But, poker rooms do not allow bonus money to the same user after he has signed in into the poker room once.

If you are from a country to which the poker room has restricted their free poker money.
You have now followed the instructions correctly.

Though you cannot do anything about the first two reasons but you can definitely try to follow the instructions carefully so as to receive your free bonus money to play risk-free poker. Now, what are you waiting for? Hone your poker skills today by playing risk-free game of poker and winning real money at the same time. It can’t get better than this! So, just go for it and grab this golden opportunity.

Its election year in the United States and with the Presidential elections a little over one month away, Democrat Barack Obama has opened up a nine-point lead in the polls over his Republican opponent John McCain.

According to a recent Washington Post-ABC News national opinion poll of likely voters, Obama now leads McCain by 52 percent to 43 percent. This is in stark contrast to the standings two weeks ago when the race was essentially even with McCain at 49 percent and Obama at 47 percent. McCain has suffered following the pair’s first debate last week in Mississippi due to the current economic crisis in America under fellow Republican, President George Bush.

Online bookmaker Sportingbet.com now lists Barrack as the 3/10 favourite to win the election on November 6 followed by BlueSq.com, PaddyPower.com, 888Sport.com and Ladbrokes.com at 4/11. Boylesports.com, SkyBet.com and BetFred.com list the Illinois Senator at odds of 2/5 while Coral.co.uk is giving slightly longer odds of 4/9. The longest odds seem to be with BetDaq.com at 17/35 and Betfair.com at 1/2.

The best online odds for a McCain victory can be found with Coral.co.uk at 13/8 followed by SkyBet.com, Boylesport.com and BetFred.com at 7/4. Sportingbet.com is offering the former Navy pilot at odds of 11/5 while BlueSq.com, PaddyPower.com, 888Sport.com, BetDaq.com and Ladbrokes.com have gone with 2/1. Election like any betting and gambling sport requires strategy to call the shots.

It’s no secret that Casino gambling contains so many exciting games, that it doesn’t matter whether a person is playing for real money or not. As long as they are having fun, casino gambling will continue to exist.

Charities realized that there was money to be raised by using gambling, so they started hosting their own casino nights. On these nights, a lot of money would be raised for the charities, thanks to America’s love affair with casinos.

These charities have fallen on tough times lately, however. Their casino nights have been hit hard by new laws in many states. The laws have put the charities in the position of having to find alternative ways of raising money.

Many states have adopted smoking laws where there is no smoking inside of public places. Some of the hardest hit by these smoking laws are the charities, who cannot allow people to smoke anymore while gambling.

The other law change that has hurt the charities is the actual gambling laws. States have expanded their gambling options and now have full casinos. This change is particularly damaging to the charities because people now have options where they can go gamble and win real money.

It used to be that charities were the only groups that were allowed to run casino type games, so people would flock to these events. Now, people have options to gamble in glamorous casinos, leaving the charities to find alternative ways of fundraising.

As the United States Presidential candidates nears their respective conventions, GOP members have once again vowed to champion their opposition of virtual gambling into their Party’s 2008 platform. If truth be told, since the year 2000, when George Bush Senior was elected as the Commander-In-Chief, virtual gambling has been attached to the GOP Party’s platform in every Presidential election since.

I mean hey, forget about how we’re already draining away billions of dollars of the American taxpayer’s money on the war on terrorism, corporate bailouts, and a healthcare system in shumbles…I can deal with that – Can I really!!!. But to candidly show favoritism against an industry that generates $16 billion annually and then act as if you’re doing something to clean America of some wicked social toxin is just INCREDIBLE to me. It’s not like we couldn’t just control the industry, get the federal hands to take a piece of the cake, and then use that cash to fund more government plans, whether healthcare or similar.

My only assumption is that the term We The People apparently doesn’t apply to us ‘the American people’ who have a real love for online poker and gambling in general. Well, at least in a lot of Republican’s eyes it seems that way. The PPA is lobbying to stage a spirited fight this year, and a flurry of write-in responses can be seen on the GOP website demanding that America. make a stand against the ban of virtual betting and gambling.

The American democratic presidential candidate - Barack Obama left some hearts disconcerted when he defeated Mrs. Clinton and clinched the Democratic nomination for President of the United States. Now, he will be trying to win November’s election as the most preferred candidate for the white house.

The one group that Barrack should have no trouble getting support from is the American poker players. A recent poll indicates that poker players in the U.S. will vote for Obama over McCain at a two to one clip.

Daniel Flamberg of DuplicatePoker.com was heard saying that “It has to be remembered that Poker players are shrewd observers who take calculated risks under time pressure. The best poker players assess their opponents fast and compute the best way to press their lead. These results are a good indicator of how Americans are processing and reacting to two weeks of coordinated political theatre,”

The survey was conducted by DuplicatePoker.com. Out of 1,780 respondents that were interviewed, 1,023 of them claimed they would vote for Barrack Obama in November. A mere 596 said they would vote for John McCain.

The site believes that they may have found America’s next president through the poll. “These results are interesting for three reasons. First, they are a gut check for the new presidential slates as we begin the home stretch run. Next, the middle class male voters are going to play an important role in every decisive state. And finally, poker players are particularly good at quickly zeroing-in on a winner,” added Flamberg.
