Posted October 27, 2009 – 3:36 am in: CasinoBlackjack is now played, on most cases, with 8 decks of cards. It used to be one a deck game, but after the card counting scheme was revealed, 7 decks were added to make sure it’s a “fair game” - fair for the casino, that is.
Face cards equal 10 points each, Aces are 1 or 11 points, and each numeral card equals the number that is written on it (the 9 card equals 9 points, for example). The best possible hand in blackjack is 21 (also called “black jack”): an ace plus a 10/ any other facial card (also called “royalty family”).Winning by blackjack will deliver a payout of 3:2, 33.33% more than a usual win. That “usual win” is obtained by having a higher hand than the dealer (up to the number of 21).
