Bingo Rules : Learn How to play!

Posted January 14, 2010 – 6:12 am in: Bingo

Bingo rules and play variations change slightly from one room to another. Detailed brochures describing particular games, rules and payouts should be available at each respective location.

Players buy play cards with numbers on them in a 5 x 5 grid corresponding to the five letters of the word B-I-N-G-O. Numbers such as N-3 or 0-41 are then drawn at random (out of a possible 75 in American Bingo, and 90 in British or Australian Bingo) until the first player completes a ‘Bingo’ pattern- which is a line with five numbers in a vertical, horizontal or diagonal row on one of their cards.

A bingo Card contains 24 numbers and one empty space (blank), with which you play BINGO. The numbers are assigned at random on each card and are arranged in five columns of five numbers each by five rows (5 x 5 = 25 in total including the blank square).

The numbers in the B column are between 1 and 15, The I column between 16 and 30, in the N column (which has four number spaces and the free space) between 31 and 45, the G column between 46 and 60, and the O column between 61 and 75.

Players can choose from thousands of unique playing card. Most manufacturers print unique series of up to 6,000 cards.

The numbers are announced very quickly by the Caller, so you must pay close attention to the numbers that are called and mark them as quickly and accurately as you can on your card(s).

The caller keeps calling numbers until one or more players cries BINGO. Then the game stops and his numbers are checked. If there is indeed a winner, the cash prize is handed out and a new bingo game begins with new cards. If there is more than one winner, the prize is split between them all.

Once you have understood the ground rules you can jump straight to the action. online bingo is constantly expanding and new exciting play platforms are emerging all the time. currently the hottest new rooms are Maria Bingo and Betsson Bingo.
